Terms and Conditions

The short version

These terms cover this website and any work you book with JS Media Group LLC. When you book, you get a written plan with the date, hours, deliverables, and price. That plan plus these terms is the whole agreement. If the plan and this page ever disagree, the plan wins.

Booking and deposits

A date is held when we have your deposit and your written okay on the plan. Until then the date stays open to anyone.

For weddings the deposit is usually a quarter of the total. For shorter bookings it is a flat amount stated in the plan. The balance is due after the event, on the date shown in the plan, before final files are released.

Deposits are refundable in full if we cancel. If you move the date and we are open on the new one, the deposit moves with you.

Cancellations and changes

If you cancel, the deposit covers the date we held for you and the work already done, so it is not refunded. If you cancel more than 30 days out we will do our best to rebook the date, and if we do, we will credit the deposit toward a future booking.

Cutting hours or services after booking may change the price. Adding hours on the day is fine when the schedule allows, billed at the hourly rate in your plan.

What you get and when

Your plan lists the deliverables: a highlight film, a full edit, photos, DJ coverage, or a mix. Highlight reels and short cuts come back within about a week. Full wedding films and long edits take two to three weeks. Photos land in an online gallery you can download and print from.

Files stay in the online gallery for at least 90 days. Please download and back up your copies. We keep our own backups for a reasonable time but cannot promise to hold files forever.

One round of small edit tweaks is included on video projects. Re-edits beyond that are billed at the hourly rate in your plan.

Copyright and how you can use the files

JS Media Group LLC owns the copyright to the photos and video we create. You get a license to use the finished files for personal, non-commercial purposes: share them, print them, post them, keep them forever. Business clients get the commercial usage stated in their plan.

Please do not resell the files, claim them as your own work, or apply heavy edits and filters to images you then post as ours.

We may use a small selection of the work in our portfolio, on this site, and on our social accounts. If you would rather we did not, tell us before the event and we will keep your job private.

On the day

You are responsible for getting us access to the venue and letting us know about any venue rules for photo, video, or drones. Drone flights depend on weather, airspace, and venue permission and are never guaranteed.

For bookings over six hours, a meal for the crew and a short break are appreciated and expected.

We are not responsible for missed moments caused by things outside our control: guests blocking shots, venue restrictions, bad light we were not allowed to fix, weather, or a schedule that runs very differently from the plan.

Travel

Anywhere within 50 miles of Wadsworth, Ohio is included in every price. Past that there is a travel fee, and we will tell you the number before you commit.

If something goes wrong

Cameras and drives can fail, and life happens. We shoot with backups and take care of the footage, but if for any reason we cannot deliver, our liability is limited to a refund of what you paid us. If we cannot make the date because of illness or emergency, we will try to arrange a comparable replacement or refund your deposit in full.

Text messages

If you check the texting box on our contact form, or text us first, you agree to get text messages from JS Media Group LLC about your inquiry and booking: quotes, scheduling, reminders, delivery updates, and follow ups. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply.

Reply STOP to opt out at any time. Reply HELP for help, or call 818-472-1070. Agreeing to texts is never a condition of booking. See our Privacy Policy for how we handle your number.

This website

Everything on this site, including the photos, video, and words, belongs to JS Media Group LLC or is used with permission. Please do not copy it without asking. The site is provided as is and we may change it at any time.

The legal bits

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Ohio. If we ever have a disagreement we cannot settle with a phone call, it will be handled in the courts of Medina County, Ohio. If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest still applies.

We may update these terms. The date at the top tells you when. Bookings are covered by the terms in place on the day the deposit is paid.
